I think I'm gonna hold off on all the Photoshop stuff for a while and get back to some good old fashioned traditional drawing. Don't get me wrong, I love my tablet and painting with it, but I need to get back to basics.

I realized that my strengths are with pencils/pen and inks. In an alternate reality I'd probably be working at Marvel by now. But, my skills are nowhere near where they should be. I could really be great if I get my act together. I know it.

I want to create a comic. I'm working on the script right now. But, if this is to be any type of success it needs to be perfect. Good storytelling(framing, flow, etc.), a well rounded art style, and something the reader wants to see more of.

This would mark the first time I ever tried anything like this and I may very well land on my ass the first time. But, if I don't try I'll feel worse. I'm tired of being held back by my insecurities about my art, how it's never good enough in my eyes. I have to try.

So, the agenda is to start drawing like mad. Backgrounds, animals, people, cups, friggin' sand, whatever! I need to be able to draw everything I see or else this won't work. And I will make this work.

So, be expecting to see some of the worst art I have to offer. I'm starting from scratch and relearning how to draw. And when I start getting better, hopefully, I'll have more confidence in my art.
